About Neil Joseph Babb

With more than 10 years of experience, Neil Joseph Babb is a geologist at Tetra Tech Geo, in Phoenix, Arizona. He performs quality assurance investigations on such field sites as State Remedial Investigative sites and landfills to ensure environmental compliance and the operation and maintenance of remediation systems. Neil Joseph Babb is employed full time at Tetra Tech and part time at U-Haul, where he provides customer service and keeps inventory of rental vehicles and conducts basic facilities and automotive maintenance.

Mr. Babb earned a BS in geology at Wayne State University where he assisted an associate professor with his post-doctorate glacial research project in southeast Michigan. Also, he completed the field geology program at the University of Missouri studying in southwest Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park. He has subsequently obtained several professional certifications in the field of geology, such as Geologist-In-Training, Competent Person Trench Excavation Safety, and Construction Quality Assurance inspection of compacted clay liners and geosynthetic materials.

Away from his professional endeavors, Neil Babb enjoys working on his Phoenix home and tending to his land parcel in Michigan. He enjoys outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, and rock climbing. His favorite teams include the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Detroit Tigers, and the Oakland Raiders, and he offers his sports insights and opinions as co-host of the The Captain's Friday Night Sports Show podcast on www.blogtalkradio.com/thecapt, broadcast from New York City every Friday night 8-11p EST.
